Surveys Before You Build in Upper Caboolture

Before you build here, work out what you actually own. That sounds obvious, but surveyors in Upper Caboolture deal with a locality where a 1990s estate lot can sit next door to a rural parcel created a century earlier. Those new names exist because of what is happening immediately to the west. Caboolture West is planned to hold around 30,000 homes and 70,000 people over coming decades, and the state planning material treats it as one of South East Queensland’s major expansion areas. Upper Caboolture sits on the edge of all that, which is why the locality lines moved in the first place. Records that no longer match the map. This is the local one worth knowing. Since April 2023 part of what people still call Upper Caboolture is officially Lilywood or Wagtail Grove. Titles did not change, but addresses did, and older searches, rate notices and plans still carry the previous description.
