Construction is continuing on the $50 million Country Club Hotel on Gympie Road, combining a hotel with an indoor sporting and recreation centre, with opening set for late 2026 or early 2027. That is a substantial commercial build in the middle of an established centre, which means staged setout, level control and as-constructed records throughout.

The other is longer term. Council has been considering relocating its Strathpine chambers to Moreton Bay Central at Petrie, with the Gympie Road offices reported as nearing the end of their useful life by 2030. Nothing is settled. But Moreton Bay Central sits less than five kilometres away, so Strathpine land surveyors are keeping an eye on what a shift in the administrative centre would mean for demand along this stretch of Gympie Road.

Where Strathpine Surveyors Spend Their Time

Tenancies, lease areas and what sits under them. In a centre like this, the question is often not where the lot boundary runs but where one tenancy stops and the next begins. Lease area plans need measuring properly, and they still have to reconcile with the underlying title. A boundary survey establishes that base layer, which matters before a fitout, a subdivision of a building, or a dispute over an awning or a loading bay.

The low ground near the river. Strathpine sits in the Pine River corridor, and parts of the suburb sit noticeably lower than the Gympie Road ridge. So the flood answer varies street by street. Pull the City of Moreton Bay flood check property report for the specific lot and have levels confirmed against Australian Height Datum rather than assuming the whole suburb behaves the same way.

Big flat sites move a lot of water. Car parks, hardstand and large roofs concentrate stormwater in a way houses never do. A contour and detail survey gives your engineer the existing surface, the fall and the outlet, which is what keeps a commercial drainage design defensible.
